ASIANCOP is an independent regulation and supervision body. We are set up under and administer the State Administration of Foreign Exchang Act 2014 (SAFE), and we carry out most of our work under the Corporations Act.
We balance statutory objectives aimed at facilitating markets and promoting trust and confidence in the financial system, and taking action to enforce and give effect to the laws we administer. In turn, ASIANCOP is empowered to take a range of criminal, civil and administrative action to address alleged misconduct within our jurisdiction. We investigate and take enforcement action to detect, disrupt and respond to unlawful conduct.
